Just wanted to give a shout out to my man Kevy Nova for playing guitar for 24 hours and then giving away his Gibson SG guitar all in the name of Cancer Research and the Search for a Cure!
From Friday 6/8/12 12pm to Saturday 6/9/12 12pm Kevy performed solo and with friends in hopes of raising $8,000, every dollar going straight to the American Cancer Society. The event happened at none other than Cameron’s Pub in Half Moon Bay. The entire event was broadcasted on Ustream, so those who couldn’t attend could watch.
About a year and half ago, we lost our dear friend and great community leader Auri Naggar to cancer. Every year Kevy Nova puts on the 24 hour Guitar-a-thon to help raise money for Cancer Research, so we never have to lose another loved one to cancer again.
