Sat in with Chinese Melodrama yesterday at the SOMA (South of Main) Art Walk in Half Moon Bay.
Organized by Kelly Morlock of Coast Views Magazine and hosted by my good friends Randy Bales and Lisa Chu of Chinese Melodrama. Mark Comstock also joined us for a quick set (great blues singer-songwriter and guitarist). Then Chinese Melodrama and I traded off 20 minute sets for the afternoon. We featured Kelly singing on some Janis Joplin and Rolling Stone tunes. The crowd loved it!
SOMA was created to help draw some attention to the wonderful art galleries on the Southern side of Main St. Half Moon Bay. When people think of Main St. they usually think of San Benito House, Feed & Fuel and all the other retro shops, restaurants and cafes on the Northern part of town. But there’s a whole other world of great art galleries, art schools and even a theater down in Southern Main Street! Spread the love and join us next year at the SOMA Art Walk.
Also, be sure to check out Chinese Melodrama! Great local duo!
Peace and Love,
Heather Scarlett
