Racism is born from an “us v. them” mentality. Whether it be positive, neutral, or negative, mentally separating ourselves from people with different backgrounds is where it starts. We have to stop teaching our children that there is a difference between people with different colored skin. There really isn’t. We are all human, we all matter.
